Early Learning Centre

Loxton Lutheran School is home to the first Christian-based Early Learning Centre in the Riverland which opened in Term 3 (Wed 27 July), 2011. The Centre aims to provide a caring space for young children to receive an early education to encourage a love for learning and is supportive of their emotional, social, physical and spiritual needs.

An Early Learning Centre (ELC) offers children from ages 3-5 years a fully supervised, play based curriculum in accordance with the National Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard (NQS). It provides a high quality, individualised programme designed to meet the needs of our naturally inquisitive children where they are able to explore, discover, solve problems and be challenged through meaningful experiences.

Loxton Lutheran School ELC offers each child the opportunity to reach their potential as they inquire into play and learning experiences that are relevant and take into consideration of diverse learning styles. As the first step towards school life, ELC fosters in children confidence, self esteem and independence in a stimulating and supporting environment.

As part of the Loxton Lutheran School, the ELC gives children access to all school resources and facilities, including the library, sports stadium, playgrounds, chapel services, computers, performing arts centre, music, gardens, school bus for excursions etc. Our ELC children also have contact and form relationships with older children 'buddies' from the school.

We are passionate about Early Childhood education and are proud to offer an engaging learning environment which provides a smooth and secure transition from home to school.

The ELC is currently open Tuesday's, Wednesday's and Friday's from 8:00am to 4:30pm.

We welcome enquiries on mobile:- 0435 944 964 or the school office (08) 8584 7496.
