Student Wellbeing

At Loxton Lutheran School, each and every child is known and valued as an important member of our community.

Improving learning and wellbeing outcomes for students in our Christian context is at the forefront of all our decision-making here at Loxton Lutheran School. Student happiness and wellbeing are of utmost importance to us. Parents can rest assured that we have their child’s best interests at heart.

Support for Student Social, Emotional and Personal Development

At Loxton Lutheran School, we place a strong emphasis on educating students how to interact positively at school and in the broader community. We strive to build a strong foundation of good physical, social, emotional and spiritual health, in recognition that this helps support and promote lifelong learning and wellbeing.

With the help and support of our staff, students at Loxton Lutheran School grow and learn in a safe, nurturing and inspiring environment. Our staff aim to work as a team with parents to assist students with social or emotional development. Our Student Support Leader, Lutheran Support Officers, Teaching Staff and School Chaplain are able to assist students as required in the area of social and emotional learning, through in-class support, small group activities and targeted instruction at a whole-class level. We also collaborate with a range of external agencies to enhance support of the individual needs of students.

At school, we offer a range of opportunities that help students to develop confidence, leadership, communication and independence skills. These experiences include Student Leadership, Buddy Classes, Camps and Excursions, leading whole-school Assembly and Worship, helping at the Continental, visiting the Riverview Rest Home and many more.
