Did you know that turtles are an important local species, acting as a vacuum to help maintain the health of waterways? Today our Young Environmental Leaders - Nate, Jesse, Aria, Elijah and Nate - attended a Landscape SA leaders day at Camp Kedron along the beautiful shores of Lake Bonney. Students learnt from various experts in the field of turtle conservation and especially enjoyed searching for turtle nests and holding a baby turtle. Morialta Park, Adelaide Zoo, West Beach Caravan Park and AFL Max… What an action-packed adventure our Year 3s had on camp this week! From exploring a nature playground and spotting animals up close, to kicking goals and making memories, there was no shortage of fun, laughter, and friendship! A huge thank you to our amazing teachers for organising such a fantastic experience, and to the parents who joined in to help make the trip run so smoothly.
