An incredible achievement, with our students crowned District Champion School at today’s athletics carnival - the first time in our school’s history.Our athletes gave it their all through sunshine and rain, supporting each other every step of the way. A true team effort.A HUGE thank you to Mr Wagner for organising the team, running lunchtime training sessions and supporting every student to perform at their best. On Wednesday of week 9 our Year 1/2s had a wet but exciting start to their excursion with an unexpected downpour. They arrived safely at the Monash Playground just as the rain eased, enjoying some fruit before jumping into lots of fun (and a few brave challenges) on the equipment.After lunch, they headed off to Renmark where students split into two groups for the next part of the day. One group enjoyed a tour on the PS Industry, spotting koalas 🐨 and whistling kites along the way, while the other explored the Paringa Museum, clambering over old machinery and wandering through the beautiful vegetable garden. The groups then swapped, so everyone got to experience both activities.They finished the day with some time together at Bert Dix Park before heading safely back to school. We’re excited to share that one of our students, Hannah, is taking part in the Riverland Musical Society’s junior production of Disney’s Alice in Wonderland JR!Hannah is one of 40 talented young performers from across 15 Riverland schools who have been working hard to bring this magical show to life through singing, acting, and dancing.You can catch the show on Saturday 18 & Sunday 19 April, 10:30am & 1:00pm at the Bonney Theatre, Barmera.
